Rachel Reeves

Labour Candidate for Leeds West

New bus route for Rodley

Over the last few years Rachel has been campaigning to improve local bus services in the Leeds West Constituency, collecting surveys, hosting meetings, and passing on views to First Bus.

Time and time again local residents expressed their concern about the lack of a direct service between Bramley and The Owlcotes Centre. A service used to run on this route, and Rachel lobbied First Bus to reintroduce it. First Bus have now announced that they will trialling a new service, the No.88, to meet the needs of people in Bramley and Rodley.

Buses.jpgThe service will run between Bramley and Owlcotes via Rodley Lane, Bagley Lane, Farsley Cenotaph and Dawsons Corner. It will run hourly from 9:50 - 13:50 from Bramley and 10:20 - 14:20 from Owlcotes, from 27 April.

Rachel said:

“I’m delighted this service is being reintroduced. So many people asked for it, and I’m pleased First have listened. Please spread the word and encourage family, friends and neighbours to use it.

Please also get in touch if you have any comments to make regarding this, or any other bus services in Leeds West that you would like me to raise about local bus services.”
