Rachel visits residents in brand new independent living project homes
Rachel recently visited local residents who have just moved into state of the art homes for people with learning disabilities and mental health needs last week. Eight homes have been built on the Rossefield estate in Bramley, and Rachel went to visit the eight new residents. She was joined by Bramley and Stanningley Councillor Ted Hanley.
The Independent Living Project is part of a modernisation programme within adult social care that is supporting over 550 adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs across the city to receive high quality care and support services in purpose built housing.
Rachel commented, “This really is an inspiring project. It was great to meet the residents and see their new homes. They are purpose built to very high standards. I thank those that have worked on the project, and hope to visit again soon.”
