Leeds West Election Results

Rachel was elected as Leeds West's MP with a 7,000 vote majority today. After the result was announced, Rachel thanked the electorate for the trust they had put in her, and promised to represent Leeds West tirelessly in Parliament.
The results of the elections have given Leeds West a strong Labour team to represent you in both Westminster and Leeds City Council.
The full results are as follows:
Electorate - 67,453. Turnout - 57.96%
Beverley, Joanna - British National Party - 2377 votes
Blackburn, David - Green Party - 1832 votes
Coleman, Ruth - Liberal Democrats - 9373 votes
Marjoram, Joseph - Conservative Party - 7641 votes
Miles, Jeff - UK Independence Party - 1140 votes
Reeves, Rachel - Labour Party - 16389 votes
Local elections saw Leeds West gain an additional Labour Councillor, with John Hardy being elected to represent Farnley and Wortley. Neil Taggart and Janet Harper reinforced their majorities in Bramley and Armley, and Bernard Atha fought hard to retain his seat in Kirkstall.
